President’s Message

Photograph of the founded time

Our company began business in 1947, shortly after the Second World War, in Tsubetsu Town in eastern Hokkaido. We started by manufacturing malt syrup using local potato starch at the time of a food shortage during the postwar occupation of the Allied Forces. For over 65 years since then we have been manufacturing confectionaries with a focus on candy. Tsubetu Town is blessed with abundant water and natural surroundings, and sugar beet and milk produced in the town are processed into raw materials for confectionaries at factories in neighboring municipalities. Taking advantage of the abundant raw materials in the region, we provide safe confectionaries while continuing to place the upmost importance on our founding principle of “faithful manufacturing.” We hope to contribute to regional development through our business.
